Support for parent post IDs or related post IDs

Support associating posts with each other. Parent Post ID's would yield a thread of posts. Related Posts could be useful, but is already more or less achieved through categories.

I.E. "Here's an update on that issue I <link>blogged about last month</link>" And that post may itself reference another parent post, and so on. Would be useful to add links: "view all parent posts" or "view all child posts"

just in case it's not explicit: this ticket should also include support for "related posts" The goal again is to provide, whether or not the skin outputs them all, lots links through which to pivot around posts: parent posts, child posts, posts specifically identified as related by the author, related by same categories, related by same parent categories, etc. Not sure we need all of them - but want to emphasize the pivoting flexibility...

Two additions:

First, in post form, as user selects categories for a post, ajax searches similarly categorized posts to suggest as related or parent posts (with a small mouseover or something with summary text to help confirm) Query AND's the categories, but flips to ORs if nothing comes back.

Second, on presentation side, if a post has a parentPostID or childPostID, a link to that post is given, but anchored to that post in the context of whole lineage (does that make sense?)
